The exhibition will present 12 artists from Germany, China, Paintings and spatial works by artists from the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Iran. In 2013, "Rhythm and Method" Sino-German abstract painting exhibition was exhibited in Hubei Art Museum. This exhibition can be regarded as a continuation and dialogue of the exhibition two years ago. Abstract art originated in Europe and has a history of more than a hundred years. In the West, due to the relatively stable status of abstract art, the mentality and activities of contemporary artists engaged in abstract art are relatively stable compared with their Chinese counterparts. The concept of "rhythm" can be said to have captured a core aspect of abstract art, which can be traced back historically, but also has vitality and possibility in the contemporary era. But in China, even a painter who is most content with his "standard" and obsessed with formal language, once his works are published, they will immediately be involved in the entire contemporary context. "Abstract style" is usually regarded by Chinese artists as a "method" to solve contemporary problems, and aesthetic loyalty is secondary. Therefore, abstraction in the Chinese context, to a certain extent, is still the same as in the era of Kandinsky and Mondrian, or in the era of abstract expressionism, consciously incorporating various problems of the times into art "Internal" and extroverted "contemplation". |
